Embrace your fears
How to embrace your fears. Turning ferocity into docility.

I know it sounds strange when you hear embrace your fears...
Ha! fear and I are anything but frienemy.... In fact, I have soooo unfollowed it that people are
wondering what's going on with this relationship.
When I see it coming, I strategically move to another lane because I don't want wahala. Like that i
rritant person you can't shake off, anywhere I go, anywhere I look , is just there waiting, observing
and planning their next move.
What alluded me was that it was feeding off the energy that I am omitting.
The more I ran, the more it chased.
Do you know that the lion takes its fierceness from its prey's fear? This may have been something
that Daniel knew and failed to holla at me! Daniel!!!
He was unafraid, and the lion’s mouth was closed. Ferocity changed to docility.
Embrace your fears for power exists right on the other side.
Daniel looked away from the lion and set his eyes on God. In our everyday day life, at every
waking moment we encounter challenges, we encounter our fears; be it lion of lack, lion of
loneliness, lion of unworthiness, there are too many lions to mention. I'm sure you can think of a
few lions you have in your own life.
But I say to you as I say to myself; walk up to that situation which you are afraid of because if you
run away from it, it will be at your heels.
A lot of us lose what we most value and love because we are continually fearing its loss. We do all
that we humanely can to insure safety but at the back burner lingers the thought of fear.
We need to embrace vulnerability and know that what you hold most dear has come from a
source far greater than you. Return ownership to Him that divinely loves and protects.
Take a deep breath, relax and release.
I used to be so axed, trying to raise my children in what I thought was the perfect way and
whenever the outcome differed from what I had imagined all sorts of negative emotion would
come flooding in; inadequacy, helplessness, frustration. Then I decided to face my lion of imperfection.
I realised that the quest for perfection was overrated.
I started to enjoy the journey of motherhood with all the speed bumps attached to it and like Daniel,
I became unafraid because I handed over total control of them to God. I asked him to work on me, ensuring that I become a worthy guide to them. I tell you, the lion's mouth closed. It went from ferocity to docility.
Some days the lions being a lion still tries to raise its head but when I look back at it, I’m sure you can fill in the blanks.
So what are your fears? Learn to face them.
Return ownership to Him that divinely loves and protect. Take a deep breath, relax…..release
