Dear Patience

Wilfulness as strong as titanium

Hurt as toxic as the evaporation of coal on a foggy day

Resentment as clear as a shiny star a distance away

Pain as real and assured as the morning sunset

Life welcomes extreme possibilities

Gratitude and Regret

Which would you choose?

Then comes Patience

Like a knight in shining armour

Wielding her sword

A sword that can cut through titanium with the appearance of tolerance, hope and resolve

I never knew what power patience yielded until I came to rely on it so heavily

What comfort she brings in our hour of confusion

What clarity she brings in the moment of choice between Gratitude and Regret

Thank you, Dear Patience for always being my knight in shining armour
